We are able to receive electronically any designers documents so  that our work and theirs matches in page style. Using auto-CAD we are able to:

1. Fully dimension all elements of our work from the designers dimensions..
2. Provide abbreviations for all specific structural information.
3. Provide all necessary code and other structural notes for building officials and contractors.
4. Detail all relevant construction items with current AISC and ACI accepted standards.
5. Expand Architectural details to show all relevant structural items that need to be included.

Heyer Engineering, PC can provide specifications and cost estimates for all phases of your work.  We keep current on local and national prices via local and regional price inquiries and also with national cost estimate publications.  Our specification writer is a member of CSI and has more than 12 years experience writing a wide variety of specifications in both the structural and architectural industry.

Some of our biggest clients are industrial or food processing plants .  We, at Heyer Engineering, PC have provided both the structural engineering and also the construction engineering to allow industrial users to expand and remodel with minimal disruption.  One of our more unique clients, the first of its kind coal gasification plant in Beulah, North Dakota, uses our services for their in-house projects.  Another of our clients, a beet sugar food processor, uses us both for large, new construction projects and smaller maintenance and environmental projects.

Submittal Drawings (Shop Drawings)

A part of all construction projects is the submittal or shop drawing process. At Heyer Engineering, PC all submittals are reviewed by the Engineer who designed the project. We review and then return them quickly to expedite the work.

Field Observation And Engineering

Heyer Engineering, PC provides either observation or, if required, field engineering on our projects. If it is vital to a client that we work with the contractors to complete a complicated design, we will be happy to be in the field. If a client needs to know what is happening to the structural elements of his work, we are clear, concise and do point out any areas of concern.

Governmental Requirements 

Heyer Engineering, PC is familiar with and works daily with UBC, BOCA and the new IBC 2000 codes. As each new code is implemented, Heyer Engineering, PC studies and implements its requirements into our engineering design process. Likewise we work with United States Military and Civilian agencies and provide engineering design to projects at military airports, National Guard facilities, border stations, Corps of Engineer projects, federal courthouses and metric required projects. Heyer Engineering, PC has carefully studied and incorporated the new OSHA erection guidelines in our work.
