A variety of engineering programs are utilized to aid the engineers in designing efficiently and accurately. These include finite element analysis, design of steel, concrete, prestressed concrete, timber components, footings, seismic and 3D analysis.

Heyer Engineering, PC has engineering expertise in steel, wood, concrete, precast concrete, architectural precast concrete,  masonry, soils, light gauge steel and also in aluminum construction.  Our engineers are used to taking construction issues that are structural problems for an architect and making them fit the design, the size or the cost constraints given.  Heyer Engineering, PC uses the latest in structural design calculation software to supplement the abilities of our experienced engineering staff in design.  We use variations of Enercalc™; Risa ™ , Ram™  and other software to ensure that our designs are not only a match for your building but are also structurally sound, long lasting and economical. 

Computer aided drafting is also extensively utilized in this office. The software package AutoCad accounts for 100% of the drafting documentation done by our office. With more and more design consultants and architects using this process, coordination accuracy and efficiencies are increasingly better than before.
