Frank Yazdani, PE
Director of Engineering
Yazdani earned his PhD degree from the University of New Mexico and MSCE and BSCE degrees from the University of Washington. He has been involved in the design of over $500M worth of construction projects in various parts of US, including California. As a registered professional engineer, he has worked on industrial, commercial, educational, institutional, and residential projects. Yazdani has also worked as a Project Manager for SCR projects on Exxon-Mobil refineries. Yazdani is a licensed PE in the State of California.
He is the past Chair of the Civil Engineering Department and the past Interim Director of Construction Engineering and Management at North Dakota State University. His research interests include: fatigue and life-cycle analysis of construction materials, damage assessments in brittle solids, and modeling of nonlinear behavior of concrete, geological materials, ceramics, and composites. Yazdani has published over 70 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He has been the Chief Editor or Co-Editor of 7 books in structural engineering and construction. In his free time he is an avid soccer fan, coach, and player.
