With the expansion, Scheel All Sports (Scheels) in Rapid City provides the largest selection of sporting goods in one location in Western South Dakota.
Scheels Rapid City opened in 2008. The expansion in 2014 allowed the store to offer a wide variety of women’s, men’s, youth, specialty and sport and game options. Special attractions include adding a buck hunter arcade, bronze sculptures, a Starbucks Coffee bar, and a fudge shop.
A single-story addition with a steel bar joist and metal deck roof supported by a steel frame and CMU bearing walls. Due to soil conditions the foundation system consists of concrete grade beams spanning between drilled concrete piers.
